This Acceptable Use Policy ("AUP") defines the rules and guidelines governing the use of hosting services provided by Peppihost ("Hosting Services"). By accessing or using our Hosting Services, you agree to comply with this policy, which forms an integral part of our Terms and Conditions.

Peppihost reserves the right to modify or update this policy at any time. Any changes become effective immediately upon publication on our website.

1. Resource Usage

Peppihost Shared Hosting plans are intended for standard website hosting purposes, allowing customers to publish websites and related content.

Our Shared Hosting plans include generous storage resources intended for normal website operation. These resources are not designed for large-scale file storage or distribution.

For websites primarily distributing downloadable files such as videos, music, software, archives, or similar content, Peppihost reserves the right to enforce a monthly bandwidth limit of 250 GB.

Normal website traffic is not affected by this limitation.

Unless you are using a Virtual Private Server (VPS) or Dedicated Server, you may not:

• Consume more than 10% of the server's available processing resources for prolonged periods, including excessive CGI, PHP, HTTP, or FTP activity.
• Operate standalone background services, daemons, or continuously running server-side processes.
• Run IRC servers, IRC bots, or software that connects to Internet Relay Chat (IRC) networks.
• Operate web crawlers, spiders, or indexing software.
• Run BitTorrent clients, trackers, or similar peer-to-peer applications.
• Participate in file-sharing or peer-to-peer distribution activities.
• Host online gaming servers.
• Schedule automated cron jobs outside the configurations provided through our control panel.
• Offer free website hosting services under your domain, including through reseller accounts unless specifically permitted.
• Operate proxy servers or anonymous browsing services.
• Use your hosting account as a remote storage location for external websites.
• Install or operate self-hosted cloud storage or file synchronization platforms, including but not limited to OwnCloud, Nextcloud, Pydio, SparkleShare, or similar applications.

Hosting accounts must not be used as backup storage. Files stored on your account should directly support your website and remain accessible through the website where applicable. Peppihost reserves the right to remove files or directories that are unrelated to website functionality or violate this policy.

Unless specifically restricted by the account owner, website content may be indexed by search engines. Customers responsible for SEO activities should comply with the published webmaster guidelines of major search engines.

MySQL databases are limited to 1024 MB per database. Customers approaching this limit may be contacted regarding optimization or upgrade options.

For reseller hosting accounts, any suspended or terminated customer account may be permanently removed after 50 days.

2. Prohibited Uses

Peppihost Hosting Services may only be used for lawful purposes.

You agree not to use our services for any activity that:

• Violates any applicable local, national, or international law.
• Supports unlawful, fraudulent, deceptive, or criminal activities.
• Harms or attempts to exploit minors.
• Hosts or distributes material that violates this Acceptable Use Policy.
• Sends unsolicited commercial email (spam), bulk messaging, or unauthorized promotional communications.
• Distributes malware, viruses, ransomware, spyware, worms, or other malicious software.
• Hosts phishing pages or attempts to obtain passwords, financial information, or personal data unlawfully.
• Facilitates scams, impersonation, identity theft, or fraudulent schemes.
• Uses social engineering techniques to deceive users.
• Stores or distributes illegal or harmful software.
• Uses hosting services primarily for backup storage, cloud storage, media storage, or file archiving purposes.
• Uses hosting resources primarily as a video or audio hosting platform.

Accounts involved in prohibited activities may be suspended or permanently terminated immediately without prior notice or refund.

3. Content Standards

All content hosted through Peppihost must comply with applicable laws and ethical standards.

Content must:

• Be factually accurate where factual claims are made.
• Represent honestly held opinions.
• Comply with applicable laws and regulations in the jurisdictions where the content is published or accessed.

Content must not:

• Be defamatory, abusive, threatening, obscene, or inflammatory.
• Promote hatred, discrimination, or violence.
• Contain illegal pornographic material.
• Infringe copyrights, trademarks, patents, database rights, or other intellectual property.
• Harass, intimidate, impersonate, or deceive individuals or organizations.
• Encourage or facilitate illegal activities.
• Violate legal obligations owed to third parties.

4. Zero Tolerance Spam Policy

Peppihost maintains a strict zero-tolerance policy against spam.

Customers may not send:

• Unsolicited bulk email.
• Mass marketing emails without recipient consent.
• Spam through email, SMS, messaging platforms, fax, telephone, or similar communication methods.

Websites promoted through spam campaigns may not be hosted on Peppihost servers.

If spam activity originates from your account, Peppihost reserves the right to:

• Suspend or terminate your hosting account immediately.
• Remove services associated with the abuse.
• Require corrective action before restoring service.
• Recover any costs associated with blacklist removal or abuse mitigation.

5. Suspension and Termination

If Peppihost determines that this Acceptable Use Policy has been violated, we may take any action deemed appropriate, including but not limited to:

• Immediate suspension or permanent termination of hosting services.
• Removal of content violating this policy.
• Issuing formal warnings.
• Pursuing legal remedies where applicable.
• Reporting unlawful activities to the appropriate authorities.
• Cooperating with law enforcement investigations.

These actions may be taken without prior notice where necessary to protect our infrastructure, customers, or third parties.

6. Policy Updates

Peppihost reserves the right to modify this Acceptable Use Policy at any time.

Customers are responsible for reviewing the latest version of this policy periodically. Continued use of our Hosting Services constitutes acceptance of any updated terms.

7. Reseller Services

Reselling hosting services is permitted only under officially designated Peppihost Reseller Hosting Plans.

Customers using standard shared hosting plans may not sell, redistribute, or provide hosting services to third parties. Any unauthorized resale activity may result in immediate suspension or termination of the associated account.
